LACE SKATER DRESS

When I purchase clothes, I make it my goal to wear it more than once. I bought this red dress back in February for valentines day but I have not worn it since. It’s a beautiful dress but its just not the piece I can wear to say, the grocery store, shopping or the movies. The dress is very “romantic” so I wanted to give it edgyness by wearing it with black accessories. The lace-up heels add the perfect amount of “attitude” that I wanted to give this dress. I side swept my hair to finish up the look.

Velvet Bows And Wild Roses

SONY DSC

Hello Loves!

Today’s look is very vintage-y. I love the retro feel this outfit has; it’s very 50’s with a modern twist. The color on the skirt is so vibrant and I just love the gorgeous velvet bow that the skirt comes with. It’s the minor unexpected details of things that I often find myself loving more. Since I wanted the skirt to be the “it” piece of this outfit I opted for a navy long sleeve shirt and I fell in love with the peter pan collar of the shirt. The collar has a lovely lace detail that I simply forgot to take pictures of. I accessorized with a cute floral ring, my black clutch and sunglasses ( which I am currently obsessed with).

Total cost of outfit: $55.50

  • Shirt: $25.00 ( on sale )
  • Skirt: $3.00
  • Shoes: $25.00
  • clutch: $2.50

Art Basel #ootd

SONY DSC

Hello Loves!

As my last post, I made it to Art Basel on Sunday night, the closing event. I have to say that every year that I attend Art Basel it just gets bigger and bigger.ย The art is amazing at Art Basel, there is sooo much to see and to experience. I took a few shots of the evening, see them here.

The Outfit

So, originally I had planned for a whole different outfit but being that it was chilly out I had to switch. Instead, I wore this comfy turtle neck shirt, faux-leather jeans, black heels and this gorgeous back. I pulled my hair back in a pony tail to keep it sleek. The heels are actually ankle straps but I removed the ankle straps to make them look like simple pumps. I added a matching bold lip to complete my look.

Total cost of outfit: $68.00

  • Top: $3.00
  • Jeans: $25.00
  • Shoes: $25.00
  • Bag: $15.00 *Black Friday Special*
