Valentines Day – a bit late

Valentine’s Day happens to be one of my favorite “holidays”; and I say “holiday” because we all know that it has become be to known as a corporate holiday. I knew that this year I wanted to wear a red dress so I searched the internet for the perfect red dress. I like the dresses that H&M had to offer so I went to the store and tried on every single red dress they had in store. After I spent about 40 minutes in the fitting room I had narrowed it down to this red ( the one shown) dress or this one. I loved how red flared dress looked on the rack but when I put it on….OH NO! The dress looked horrible and let’s just say the sizing was WAAAAYYYY off.

The Details

Once I selected my dress I knew that I wanted to wear pink accessories. I bought these amazing pink shoes from Poshmark ( an app that lets you sell your clothes!) and I matched it with this gorgeous clutch I bought at goodwill for $2.50. I was really going for the sweet romantic look and I think I nailed it. The weather that night was unseasonable cold so I was able to show off my wonderful beige ( $1.00) coat.

Happy Fashion.

This was my Friday OOTD. Which most of the outfit was purchased at Goodwill.

I decided to wear this beautiful skirt from H&M that I found at Goodwill a while back. The skirt was still brand new with the tags. I paid $8.00 for the skirt, score! The shirt is also a Goodwill find, it’s a DKNY shirt and I paid $3.00 🙂 Lucky girl, I know. The clutch was also a Goodwill find and I paid about $3 for it as well.

It was a hot summer day again in Miami so this outfit was more than fitting.
I absolutely love this outfit, it was chic, simple and sweet. I have to admit though, the bangs made it look retro which was another cool factor to this outfit.

Festival Season

SONY DSCSONY DSCSONY DSCSONY DSC

I love festival season !

Yes, I know that kicked off a few months ago. I would like to think that Miami kicks it off with Ultra Festival ( but that’s only because I am biased to my city he he ^_^). This weekend New York City is in full gear with their festival, Governors Ball. Although, I wish I was there right now, I honestly can’t complain. I was a few weeks ago at Hangout Music Festival in Gulf Shores, Alabama and I must say, “IT WAS EVERYTHING!” I love music almost as much as I love breathing!

However, what I love about festivals ( besides the music of course) is the fashion. Yes, I love the shorts, the crop tops, the dresses, the pants ( or not pants lol) the shoes, the floral headbands etc…

This look is inspired by music festivals. I bought this dress at urban outfitters and from the moment I laid eyes on it, I knew that this dress was perfect for music festivals. Although, it is long sleeve it is sheer so it’s not like you are going to be hot. It is a short dress, but I am 5’3 so it’s perfect for my height. I matched the dress with these Di Marni gladiator chunky heels and a coach drawstring bag. The hat was just an extra added accessory to beat the sun.

I will compile on my next blog post a few of my outfits to my recent music festivals along with photos from the different events.

Hello Summer!

SONY DSCSONY DSCSONY DSC

So it’s been a while and I’ve been around.

I have completely changed my blog and in doing so, I’ve decided that I will bog about my style. Fashion is my number one love and I am clothes obsessed. Since I will never walk a run way show and maybe even never attend one, I will live vicariously through my blog. I know before I blogged about my writing ( which I am still writing poetry) and photos I took, but I will instead do what I love most as I said before.

Moving onto fun stuff – I wore this outfit to my first styling event. I was the host and decided to wear something fun and simple, since it was all about my customers and not me. I love denim as much as love chocolate (ha ha ha ha). Denim is such a staple piece it can paired with anything and there is no possible way you’ll look bad. It’s like the color black (or white) it goes with anything and it looks great on anyone.

The shoes were just another piece I added to this outfit just to make it more fun and the bag, well what girl doesn’t have (or need) an oversized tote to carry their life in?
