I have been trying to get my life in order these past few days, so blogging has taken back seat ( a continuance ). But, I am slowly going to try to get back to it. I have been spending a lot of time at home lately, since I no longer have school to keep me busy. I am trying to find a job to no avail ( no surprise ) while trying to figure out my next step. Things can get a little complicated when you are taken out of routine. However, change is good and I look forward to getting my life back in order.
Anyway, about this look.
This denim skirt is one of my go-to pieces for summer. It’s comfortable, chic and versatile. For this look, I added a crop-top, neon heels and a high ponytail. It’s the perfect summer look without looking over-the-top and staying cool.

I bought this pretty lace pencil skirt a few months ago because I just love lace. The color and the fabric are very nice and I was so surprised that I found this at Forever 21. I wanted to keep things simple today because my energy levels have been quite low. I paired the skirt with a simple black stop and black heels.

Gingham has been all the rave this season and I’ve been rocking it since last season! Yes, I considered myself the fortune teller of fashion but I knew gingham was coming back. I love these pants so much because they are super comfortable and of course flattering. I purchased these at goodwill last fall, but if you see below, I was able to find a similar style.I love how the cut and the print hides my small pouch ( that I am crunching, sit upping and running to get rid of!). Today though, I decided to rock these pants with this lovely crop top I bought at Forever 21 a few weeks ago. This is definitely a happy hour look you can rock on a nice spring evening.
Till next time!
Pants: Zara (Similar style to mine)
Spring time is Miami is a lot like summer time so that means we have very HOT days during this time of year. The big difference between spring and summer in Florida is 75 degrees! During spring time we usually get more days in the seventies and a nice breeze. Lately however, we have seen the 80’s and 90’s so its best to wear a minimal amount of clothing and drink lots of water.
For this outfit I kept it nice and simple – a nice “chiffon like” flowy crop top, blue/purplish jeans and my coral pumps from BCBG. This is one of those outfits you can wear during the summer/spring time to have lunch with friends or with that special someone – it looks so simple like I didn’t even try! The only thrifted item here is that cute faux-ostrich clutch that purchased at Goodwill for only $3.00 ( total steal 😉 ).
It has been a bit chilly ( like 60 degrees (F) )down here in South Florida, so the weather has been keeping me on the down side. This is a simple outfit I threw together to get my day going on an early morning. I will admit though, that sweater and jacket were off by late afternoon. I didn’t realize how monochromatic I kept this look until after I walked out the door but I loved it. It is just a simple outfit that looks chic and like I didn’t try too much.
The sweater is an oversized waffle sweater I bought from Forever 21 about 2 seasons ago. I purchased the jeans and the leather jacket at Goodwill for a huge bargain and the boots were added just to make this outfit chic.
Outfit Total: $9.00
- Jeans: $3.00
- Jacket: $6.00
P.S. I have opted out of listing the sweater and boots since I bought those items over 2 years ago.

What girl doesn’t rely on her precious LBD on a Saturday night!? Especially if plans land on your lap last minute and you are rushing to get dressed! LOL. It seems that I have a closet full of black dresses and I know exactly why. I love a nice black dress because it is the easiest thing to put on when you are in a rush. The best part about wearing that little black dress is that you can virtually wear any pair of shoe and still look like a million bucks. The easiest way to spice up that dress? Wear a hot smoking pair of shoes of course!
My lovely sister gifted this piece to me a while back and quite frankly I forgot I had it. When I pulled this dress out, I knew I wanted to wear a stand out pair of shoes. The shoes?! These blazing HOT shoes I found at Shoedazzle the other day for $20.00! I almost hit the floor when I saw the price. This has got to be the easiest outfit I have put together in a few days. I added a red lip, a black bag & big big curls.

Yes, more sparkle for me. Actually, I think I might be running out of sparkle ( if that even is possible) but I am not 100% sure if this is my last sparkling piece. I wanted to wear these shorts one last time before I departed with them. I really love them, but they have gotten to the point were they are too big on me.
I wanted to let the shorts do all the shinning so I did this whole black think. I wore a black button- up chiffon shirt with a faux-leather collar and sleeves, added a black blazer for a more “sharp” look, black leggings to fend off the cold and black heels. I really wanted to the shorts to shine and I really like sequin shorts with blazers. I did a cool red lip and my hair side swept. Unfortunately, I am going through an awkward stage with my hair. The bangs I did this summer are growing out and since I have curly hair, the shrinkage is unbearable. I am running out of ideas with my hair! Anyway, hope you like this look.

I am a complete fan of high waisted pants, especially if they are gingham ( or plaid). I bought these Goodwill the other day and I must be honest, I was a bit apprehensive about buying these pants. The reason, well because they do need to be tailored. They fit just a bit baggy towards the bottom so I was a bit on the fence because of the cost. However, after much debate and realizing they were 50% off that day, I took a plunge and bought them. I still wore them without having them tailored because I couldn’t resist myself, but honestly I will be taking these to the tailor. I am pretty sure it will cost me about $5 – $10.00 but hey, that’s cheap. This whole outfit was thrifted except the shoes – those are part of my x-mas present.
I wore pink for two reasons: One, when I tried them on I was wearing a hot pink workout shirt and I loved the contrast that the neon color gave the white and black print. Two: I loved the way it looked with my snake print heels! I kept it pretty simple from then on out. I added nice pink lip and the gorgeous black bag. Hope you guys like!

As my last post, I made it to Art Basel on Sunday night, the closing event. I have to say that every year that I attend Art Basel it just gets bigger and bigger. The art is amazing at Art Basel, there is sooo much to see and to experience. I took a few shots of the evening, see them here.
So, originally I had planned for a whole different outfit but being that it was chilly out I had to switch. Instead, I wore this comfy turtle neck shirt, faux-leather jeans, black heels and this gorgeous back. I pulled my hair back in a pony tail to keep it sleek. The heels are actually ankle straps but I removed the ankle straps to make them look like simple pumps. I added a matching bold lip to complete my look.
