This is one of those simple outfits I put together when I have to run out the door. It’s a nice casual look that makes it seem as if I put in a lot of effort when in reality I didn’t even try. I purchased this Gap skirt a few years back and it was still hanging in my closet with the tags on, shhh, don’t tell my husband. I bought this back when “skater/circle” skirts were all the rave and the Gap made one for their fall collection. I love these skirts because they have a youthful feel to them. The material and color makes it versatile enough for anyone in my age group to pull off. Since I am on the smaller scale, I tucked my sweater in and wore a pair of high heeled booties. I layered the look with a faux-leather moto jacket, a pair of black leggings and in order to tame the mane I wore a wool floppy fedora.

On of the things on my to-do list for my Thanksgiving trip back home, was to hit up some thrift stores. Since time went by so quickly, I ended up going to just one store but that trip was definitely worth it. When you think of Miami the last thing that comes to mind is coats or winter coats for that matter. However, I have found my best winter coats in Miami and that has a lot to do with people from the North moving down south and realizing they really don’t need coats. That is why one of the first things I did when I walked into the store was head over to the coats section. While several of the coats were either too large or too damaged, I found THE ICONIC MaxMara wool coat just hanging there waiting for me! You can just imagine the excitement on my face when I realized that I found a $3K+ coat for only $8.00, score! The coat is in near perfect condition, all it needed was a fresh dry clean and it was ready to go. I will say though that sadly, the belt was missing but that can easily be fixed.
This coat evokes comfort, so I decided to wear it for the first time with a chunky knit sweater, that was also purchased at Goodwill. The coat has the prefect amount of room for layering or for wearing those really big chunky sweaters. It is extremely warm and I can see myself wearing it for those really cold winter days. Since this was a casual look, I wore a pair of light blue jeans, a pair of black booties and one of my favorite Gap purchases, this beautiful lambskin hobo bag. To complete this look, I accessorized with my favorite accessory of them all, my dog, Sir Teddy.
Coat: MaxMara, purchased at Goodwill: $8.00 / Jeans: Gap, $7.99 / Shoes: Gap, $50.00 / Handbag: Gap, $100.00 / Dog: priceless 🙂 / Outfit total: $166.00

Hanging around the city this weekend, I came across this: Straight Outta Miami. Of course, I had too. This is a simple relaxed fall look ( or any season really). I bought this skirt at my local Goodwill and it was totally worth it.

Today I am bringing back the 70’s. The seventies have been all the rave this season and I must say I am happy it is because I L-O-V-E bellbottoms. I am bell swinging, fringe rocking and curl waving myself around town with this fabulous look. This entire look was purchased at my local Goodwill for $28 and I must say, there is nothing cheap-looking about my outfit.
- Top: $3.00
- Jeans: $2.50
- Shoes: $20.00
- Vest: $2.00
- Total: $27.50

This is one of my favorite summer dresses but sadly, I might have to give this cute little number up. This no longer fits like I want it to so I might have to give it up soon. For this hot and steamy day I decided to pair it with contrasting taupe faux-snake sandals and a crochet-ish clutch. The sunglasses where just my touch of coolness.
Hope you enjoy.

I have to admit but this was one of my favorite shoots! I technically broke the law for this shoot but that depends from what law or legal stand point you are looking at this from. However, the important part is that I was able to take these amazing photos at this amazing location.
The outfit details are simple. Black pants, striped pants and black loafers. The top was thrifted and it was only $4.50 (score).

This has got to be my favorite top this season. It is a knitted crop top from forever 21 and it has proven to be very versatile. It’s such a simple top but it’s definitely versatile (although I have only worn it with skirts) and the perfect summer piece. I plan on wearing this through our very mild fall and winter season.

As I mentioned on my previous post, this denim skirt has been my favorite summer piece. I have worn this skirt a million times but here are the three ways, I have blogged about it thus far.The great thing about denim, whether it be jeans, shorts, shirt or a skirt, is that it is very versatile. Denim can be dressed either up or down, the trick is knowing: knowing how to.

I have been trying to get my life in order these past few days, so blogging has taken back seat ( a continuance ). But, I am slowly going to try to get back to it. I have been spending a lot of time at home lately, since I no longer have school to keep me busy. I am trying to find a job to no avail ( no surprise ) while trying to figure out my next step. Things can get a little complicated when you are taken out of routine. However, change is good and I look forward to getting my life back in order.
Anyway, about this look.
This denim skirt is one of my go-to pieces for summer. It’s comfortable, chic and versatile. For this look, I added a crop-top, neon heels and a high ponytail. It’s the perfect summer look without looking over-the-top and staying cool.

I must admit this is one boring Saturday for me. I am doing all my class assignments a week in advance so that I am able to be stress and homework-free next weekend. In case you don’t know, Bonnaroo is next weekend and I am super excited about that but for now, i have to bite this bullet. Perhaps, I’ll take my studying to Starbucks in order to fight the boredom that comes with a quiet apartment.
