Oversized Denim Jacket + Leather Pants

I love anything oversized because that means I can wrap my body around it and be cozy all day long. I will admit though this is not  my denim jacket, I actually borrowed it from my husband. Although, I have officially reclaimed it (purchased it at Goodwill for him for $5.00) so the jury’s out on who really owns it now, lol.

I wanted an all black look because black dominates the winter season. Yes, there’s the dark hues of purple, green, red, orange etc but there’s something so badass about an all black outfit. I like to mix fabrics and love the look of different textures mixed together; for this outfit I mixed wool, leather and denim. At first, I put this outfit together with just the leather pants and boots because I loved how the pants and booties elongated my legs and made this outfit look badass. Since I wanted an all-black look I added this black turtleneck sweater vest and long-sleeve shirt underneath. Once I put the outfit together I knew something was missing to really make this outfit look together. That’s when I saw it staring back at me, my husband shooting this outfit with his denim jacket. I unapologetically asked him to remove his jacket and to hand it over; sorry not sorry.

Puffer Coat + Leather Pants

I use to hate wearing turtlenecks because I could not stand the feeling of excess fabric on my neck. However, I can’t get enough of them now as an adult. They are like a low-key scarf attached to your sweater; at least, that’s how I look at it.

These leather pants are actually one of my top and favorite thrift store finds. I’ve actually worn them a couple of times but I have to be honest, once it gets too cold, they’re not that warm. I did keep warm with this beautiful olive green merino wool turtle neck that I purchased BNWT from Goodwill. I wanted a more casual look so I kept things simple by wearing a pair of leopard print booties and my gap puffer jacket.
