For a very quick moment, we experienced late spring weather here in Charlotte last week. I’m saying quick because the temperatures are forecasted to drop and apparently there’s going to be rain and snow this weekend. So there’s that (here goes to another weekend hibernating 😦) . Unfortunately, I didn’t realize how quick this weather was going to last because it started raining and we were unable to capture more than 4 good photos for this post.
For this very brief moment of spring like weather, I was actually able to wear this beautiful H&M skirt I thrifted the other day. There’s something about earth tone colors that is truly beautiful. I wanted this to be a nice winter/spring transition look (although I’m a few months early) and what better way than to pair a mustard midi skirt with a snake print top. Since the weather was that unforgiving I wore open toe shoes and I opted for these beautiful black and white mules, I thrifted BNWT! This entire outfit was thrifted ! Talk about Happy New Year. The purse was not thrifted but rather gifted to me for my 16th birthday from my mom.

Thank you and Happy Fashion – Karla
There was a time when girls my height ( 5’4 & under) were afraid to were midi skirts. The obvious reason to this is that, it eats up at our height. However, I am so glad that more and more petit girls are waving goodbye to fashion no-no’s and trying out fashion trends “prohibited” to smaller girls. The key to midi skirts ( you’ve probably read this before) is to wear them high. I bought this skirt at Romwe back in early spring and had been dying to wear it. I paired it with a blush top, gold embellished heels & a gold clutch. I love that the fabric material of the skirt is very thick making it ideal for spring & fall.
Till next time !

Ladies and Gents, this skirt is HOTT!
Today I bring you an exciting outfit that I had been dying to show off for a while. I bought this skirt back in March for my birthday but because of some unforeseen circumstances, I was not able to wear it. However, on Friday I told myself that I would finally wear it because it just had been hanging pretty in my closet and looking at it always made me sad ( because I hadn’t worn it). I have to say the amount of people that asked me where I bought was astonishing. My boyfriend gave me the side eye when I told him I was wearing this in public and by the end of the night, he was irritated ( not really more like amused) by the amount of people that stopped me to either compliment me or ask me, “Where did you get that skirt”?
I knew that I wanted a white shirt to go with this skirt because I really wanted the skirt to be the focal point of the outfit. I really did not want to use another color that would have either overshadow the skirt or made the outfit look to costume-y. I also decided to opt for a pair of matching pink ankle straps because they made this outfit look effortlessly chic.
I really hope you all love this look.
