Today I am bringing back the 70’s. The seventies have been all the rave this season and I must say I am happy it is because I L-O-V-E bellbottoms. I am bell swinging, fringe rocking and curl waving myself around town with this fabulous look. This entire look was purchased at my local Goodwill for $28 and I must say, there is nothing cheap-looking about my outfit.

This has got to be the perfect summer top. It’s a wrap around top that when around around my waist, it creates the cutest bow on the back. It’s also cotton, gingham, and it reminds me of romantic picnics. I bought this top at a thrift store (Goodwill) a fews months back and it was only $3.00. Talk about money well spent.
Skirt: American Apparel
Cute as a Bow
The days of short shorts, tank tops and mini skirts is fast approaching. Since it has been pretty hot in my area, I have already been sporting plenty or shorts and mini’s. I bought this mini skirt at a thrift store last year and I have worn it a few times. I like the fact that this skirt is linen(ish) so it is the perfect skirt for summer. I hope I can wear it at least one last time since the skirt is starting to fit me large at the waist.
The shirt that I wore with this skirt is chiffon like/sheer like material so it was the perfect shirt for this skirt. I added the shoes for color contrast and a black clutch just to keep it simple. The one thing I love about this outfit? The skirt, shirt and clutch were both lucky Goodwill finds :).
Outfit Total (Thrifted items): $10.50
- Skirt: $2.50
- Shirt: $3.00
- Clutch: $5.00

Pastels must be the long word for pastries! ( no, its not, but it should). Being a spring baby I can’t help but love pastels. The sweetness of the colors is as tasteful as cupcakes, and like cupcakes, should be worn sparingly. I only say this because lets be honest, as pretty as the colors are ( like white) they get dirty easily and are normally associated with spring. Although, this “rule” this fall season, when pastels were seen all over the runway.
I revolved this outfit around my pants – I really like how flattering they are. I knew I wanted to do pastels, so I paired it with these very pretty blue shirt and my bedazzled Steve Madden Heels. The outcome? I nice mixture of pastels and metallics. Hope you all like!

Spring time is Miami is a lot like summer time so that means we have very HOT days during this time of year. The big difference between spring and summer in Florida is 75 degrees! During spring time we usually get more days in the seventies and a nice breeze. Lately however, we have seen the 80’s and 90’s so its best to wear a minimal amount of clothing and drink lots of water.
For this outfit I kept it nice and simple – a nice “chiffon like” flowy crop top, blue/purplish jeans and my coral pumps from BCBG. This is one of those outfits you can wear during the summer/spring time to have lunch with friends or with that special someone – it looks so simple like I didn’t even try! The only thrifted item here is that cute faux-ostrich clutch that purchased at Goodwill for only $3.00 ( total steal 😉 ).
There is something so nice about earth tone colors especially olive green. I found this pretty little the dress the other day at the thrift store and I knew immediately that I wanted it. It reminded me of those dresses that H&M currently has in stores only that mine is a bit more older. This is definitely one of those pieces that will be using all summer & spring long. I decided to wear nude booties and a gorgeous black clutch just to continue the neutrality in this outfit.
The dress was such a bargain that I wish it would have been available in two colors. However, it is Goodwill so I consider this a lucky find in and of itself. The bag was yet another wonderful find at a thrift store it was only $5.00 and in perfect condition. I should mention that I got lucky with the background 😉

Happy Wednesday and I hope ( for those of you that celebrate Thanksgiving) you have already finished your Thanksgiving Shopping. Today’s blog post is dedicated to this beautiful oxblood dress I bought about a year ago at Loehmans. I got an excellent deal on it since the store was closing. I wanted to add to the edginess of the dress so I added my leopard heels, although, I seriously need to stop wearing these ( but I can’t!). I added a nice matching lip and a beautiful fur coat that I thrifted not too long ago.
