Summers favorite fabric?! Linen of course!
I have a special kind of love for linen because it can make you feel naked and cool even in the most treacherous weather conditions. This is a lovely linen dress I scored at Goodwill for like $3.00 (totally winning) and it is completely vintage but oh-so cool ( in every meaning of the word).
I actually “styled” my hair – more like twist it to the side and called it an up-do – but to my defense it actually does look style. I wanted to wear my leopard heels with this so bad because I just love leopard and burgundy. I added burgundy lips to match and of course my super sleek sunglasses to match.
Hope ya’ll digs.

I love shift dresses because they are comfortable and breezy in the summer time. I was lucky enough to find this dress at a thrift store the other day for only $5.00. I know, am I so lucky. As soon as I saw this dress I knew it had to be mine. It is such a versatile peace because I am wear it to the beach or wear it out for a nice day out. On the same day I found this dress I was also fortunate enough to find these adorable shoes from MAXSTUDIO and those were only $10! I am not bragging, I promise 😉 .

Since school started I have been quite busy. Currently I am playing catch up as I was away this weekend and was unable to blog or do any homework.I know, so early in the semester and I have already fallen behind, ;( . However, lets move it on to better news.
I bought this gorgeous skirt at goodwill a few months and I just could not believe how gorgeous this piece was. This is totally a vintage and/or “retro” piece and that is why I fell in love with it. I immediately knew I wanted to wear a crop top with it and when I bumped into this amazing crop top at Urban Outfitters, I knew I had to have it. I love the edginess the top gave the skirt but the skirt still keeps the outfit girly. I added these simply black ankle strap sandals and my black bag to complete my look. Hope you all like.

Today I took it back to the 80’s! The top is a total vintage ( 80’s) blouse I scored at the thrift store a few months back. Actually, my sister got this for my birthday back in April! I loved this top but that the time, I didn’t fit right. It was too tight. Thankfully, I have trimmed down some more and now it actually fits lovely. I thought I would get it altered but I am not, I actually love the way it looks. I wanted to keep things neutral so I wore these with my faux-leather jeans ( it was a bit cold this morning) and my oh-so fabulous silver shoes. I must mention that these are also part of my x-mas present….
Side note – I don’t do well with wrapped gifts. I actually tell my boyfriend what I want and he buys it. There is no point of having them wrapped it I know what I am getting. Therefore, I wear all of my x-mas presents way before x-mas 🙂
I wanted to keep the outfit edgy so I wore this metal clutch to keep the metallic’s going. The clutch was actually purchased in New Orleans – which explains why its so cool.

- Top: $9.00
- Jeans: $25.00

Today’s look is very vintage-y. I love the retro feel this outfit has; it’s very 50’s with a modern twist. The color on the skirt is so vibrant and I just love the gorgeous velvet bow that the skirt comes with. It’s the minor unexpected details of things that I often find myself loving more. Since I wanted the skirt to be the “it” piece of this outfit I opted for a navy long sleeve shirt and I fell in love with the peter pan collar of the shirt. The collar has a lovely lace detail that I simply forgot to take pictures of. I accessorized with a cute floral ring, my black clutch and sunglasses ( which I am currently obsessed with).
Total cost of outfit: $55.50
- Shirt: $25.00 ( on sale )
- Skirt: $3.00
- Shoes: $25.00

So today I totally did a throw back look; the nineties. That time when long messy “beach” hair, ripped jeans, black chunky boots, t-shirts & plaid shirts were a stable to being wrapped around our waists. I guess listening to Pearl Jam back to back may cause this to happen ( by the way, Pearl Jam might just be my FAVORITE band of all time!).
Pretty much everything here was purchased at Goodwill, except the boots. The shirt is actually “supposed” to be a cropped sweater BUT on my petite frame it fits more like a “normal” shirt so I tucked it in. The skirt is high waisted with gorgeous gold and black buttons. I finished off this look with dark chunky boots, a dark lip and my oh, so cool sunnglasses.
P.S. I know I didn’t do my Monday’s Craving segment, but I have finals this week! Therefore, I had zero cravings and lots of studying. Needless to say, the only thing I am craving this week, is for 100% on all of my exams!
