I’ve expressed my love for vintage sweaters here many times. However, this is THEE favorite vintage sweater. I bought this one back home a few years ago and I originally thought I was going to resell it but I lied. HEHEH ^__^. I fell in love with it so I was like, eh, why not. I’ve worn this sweater more than three times of course, but here are the three ways I featured it on the blog.
I have worn this sweater for work, for a cocktail party and on a casual Saturday afternoon. As you can see here, it was really easy to transition from look to the other by easily replacing a few items. You don’t have to have a huge closet or an endless amount of clothes in order to look fresh. It takes key pieces and reworking your look to make a simple item look “new” on a different day/outfit.

The long weekend is over and its back to work. I have to admit, I was in bed 75% of the time. I rarely take the opportunity to nap and sleep in and that’s exactly what I did. I did all of my “black Friday” online shopping Saturday and ate leftovers on the couch. I didn’t get much done as I had hoped but I still get some things done. It’s Monday so back to the grind it is.
These PVC pants have been everywhere this season! When I purchased them, I thought I might be one of the handful of people to wear them but I have been proven wrong. It is actually the perfect season to wear them because there is now way you are going to wear these come summer time. This is my third time wearing them and I figured I mixed a little bit of faux-fur ( this top is fur but it was thrifted). I wanted a very feminine look with this outfit so this top was perfect for the occasion. In order to keep the look feminine and so “fetch” I wore these sheer bow kitten heels and a PVC clutch.
P.S. I had the hardest time finding a top similar to this one.

One of the things that I love about thrift stores (besides saving money) is that I often end up wearing something that is unique. I love finding and wearing one of kind pieces because it makes me feel like I can caring on a legacy. Sure, it’s not “that” deep but buying from thrift stores really has helped me expand my knowledge of fashion, designer brands, save money but most importantly, recycling. Hence the name, ReChycd.
You can probably quote me on this but this is probably my favorite vintage sweater. The sequin shoulders make this sweater 1000% that much better and prettier. I purchased these vinyl pants from Target last year on sale and I’ve said this before; these pants may be intimidating at first but trust me: THESE ARE SUPER DOPE. Sure, you are going to turn heads and maybe everyone might not like them, but who cares. Wear what you want. I really loved how this all black outfit turned out and what a cooler way to make an all black ensemble stand out by mixing different textures and adding a pop of color. The last element of surprise – the shoes. I didn’t want a simple black pair of heels because I felt like this outfit deserved a bit more, so, the black snake print heels it was. This has probably been one of my favorite outfits so far this season.

If you’re still with me on these Vinyl pants and I didn’t convince you on the first go around, check this outfit out. I know these pants can be intimidating and they might not be worth the money since these are definitely a fashion trend and not-so-much-of-a staple. For this look, I wanted something sporty-chic because the pants have that casual sporty feel to it. I’ve mentioned before that I love vintage sweaters but I love silk tops just as much. In order to keep that sporty-chic vibe going I wore my silk bomber jacket, patent leather sandals and a high ponytail. The patent leather sandals were actually a very lucky find as I purchased them at a thrift store brand new without tags for only $15.00.
