Utility jackets often symbolize men fishing in the wilderness or camping. They rarely make a statement piece of let alone a fashion statement piece. Today, I am giving the utility jacket new life and masking the “men on fishing boats” with a pair of skinny jeans, heels and some “oh-so” very cool sunnies. I wanted to keep the “gone fishing” look glamours! The results? Urban chic without the smelly stench.

So for my next few posts, I figure I go around this wonderful city taking photos of all the amazing graffiti around. For this week, I happen to be matching with this “mean mugging lady” so I thought, why not copy her mean mugging look. I say, I nailed my mean face.
This dress actually happens to be one of my favorite thrift finds. I must say, the fit, the cut and the price ($3.00) were all too wonderful to pass up. I’ve worn this dress before with different shoes and a blazer BUT I did wear the same clutch. Aside from the fact that I love the fit of this dress, I like the fact that it is definitely a transitional piece. I can wear this dress for all seasons because the colors scream: Spring, Summer, Fall & Winter.
Dress: Maeve // Purchased @ Goodwill
Gingham has been all the rave this season and I’ve been rocking it since last season! Yes, I considered myself the fortune teller of fashion but I knew gingham was coming back. I love these pants so much because they are super comfortable and of course flattering. I purchased these at goodwill last fall, but if you see below, I was able to find a similar style.I love how the cut and the print hides my small pouch ( that I am crunching, sit upping and running to get rid of!). Today though, I decided to rock these pants with this lovely crop top I bought at Forever 21 a few weeks ago. This is definitely a happy hour look you can rock on a nice spring evening.
Till next time!
Pants: Zara (Similar style to mine)
My birthday was officially yesterday (04.07, Happy birthday to me!) and I have already begun my birthday celebration with a bright yellow dress. I say birthday month because I celebrate all 30 days of April. I know, I’m spoiled like that lol.
I wore this dress on couples night and I must say I was the brightest person in the restaurant, literally. This is the perfect dress for spring and for those hot spring/summer nights. I added these very cute BCBG pumps ( Valentino lookalikes) in white and my very chic snake print clutch.
Clutch: Zara (Thrifted Item, purchased at Goodwill)
Shoes: BCBG Paris Darron Pump – BCBGMAXAZRIA
Most of you have already gone back to school or today was your day back. Today was my first day back and it went totally wrong. I woke up late, got lost trying to find my class and arrived 45 minutes LATE to class. On top of that, I totally forgot I was taking statistics this semester and I am so not looking forward to it. So in honor of my misery, what better way to express it through my clothes. All black everything.
I bought this midi dress at Zara this weekend for $19.99; as some of you might know Zara is having a major sale right now so I got me a few pieces. I tried to get as much summery clothes as I could, since lets face it, I live in Florida. The dress has a zipper in the middle which adds a bit of edgyness to it. That is why I wore these kick ass boots with the dress and of course my killer backpack. To keep thing awesome – purple lipstick and my super cool sunglasses.

Today is my last Friday before my reality starts again… School that is. I have one more semester to go before graduation and I really want this to be over. I like school, but I am sooo over it. I am ready to be done with it and never look back. Since this is my last Friday of freedom, I have a few things planned for this weekend. I am going to go on dinner “date” with a few friends and family, going out to South Beach and then to the park on Sunday. This is why today, I choose something relaxed so that I can run all my errands in peace.
I based my outfit around my shoes. I knew I wanted to wear something chic yet comfy so I choose to wear these cute shoes I bought at Goodwill from Zara. Since the shoes are nude, I knew I wanted to wear this peplum top with the cute peter pan collar. I also got this shirt at Goodwill for a steal, $3.00!I kept things extra casual by wearing jeans and one of my favorite vintage handbags from Dooney & Bourke, also purchased at Goodwill.

It’s no surprise that the holidays are officially here and we are all shopping for that perfect holiday outfit. This only means, bring on the sequins, glitters and everything that sparkles. H&M, Forever 21, TopShop and every other retailer has lined-up all of their most glittery and sparkly clothes. I have a few shinning pieces in my closet and I can’t wait to sport it all out.
I really wanted to wear this gorgeous dress I scored the other day at Goodwill, it is dress is part chiffon and part faux-leather. I remembered I had this very cute motto “raw cut” jacket that had silver and black sequins so I decided to give it a go. To keep the black on black look I paired the outfit with black heels and a nice oragne-y/red lip color ( I scored 15% off Forever 21 on Black Friday, yes, I went shopping on black Friday, after I said I wouldn’t lol).
Total Outfit Cost:
- Dress: $5.00
- Jacket: $30.00

Wynwood Street Art. Side note: The headlights reflect on my shirt; too fxking cool!
Happy Saturday loves!
If you are ever in Miami, FL (not South Beach, because those are actually two different cities) you have to make sure to make a pit stop in Wynwood a.k.a Design District and check out the sick art there. There is soooo many cool art around the neighborhood that you might just want to take a picture of it. However, make sure you do so soon. Unfortunately, because of the heavy construction, commercialization and retailers that have opened in the area, several of the art galleries in the neighborhood are moving :(. Hopefully the street art remains but that is still to be determined.
The Outfit Details:
It was a tank-top and jeans kinda day for me. I did have an early start so I pulled out the jacket but honestly by the afternoon it was a warm 84 degrees. However, by the evening it’s set to be “cool” so I’ll keep the jacket with me, just in case I need it. I added the shoes for a an extra “kick in my step” and because I practically use any excuse to wear leopard. However, this is one of those outfits that you can pretty much wear just about any pair of shoes and the outfit will still look good.
